Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine

Osteopathic manipulative treatment, or OMT, is a set of hands-on techniques used by some physicians to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury.
Using OMT, a physician moves a patient’s muscles and joints using techniques that include stretching, gentle pressures, resisted forces, and mobilizations to address areas of dysfunction in the body.

Dr. Joseph Queeney attended and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a rotating internship in Enid Oklahoma. After practicing general practice for one year, he trained in Neurological surgery in Columbus Ohio. This training included spine and complex spine surgery, Neuroradiology, Neuropathology, Skull base and vascular surgery, Stereotactic neurosurgery, and complex spine surgery. He practiced neurosurgery in Fort Smith Arkansas unBl the COVID pandemic in 2019. He maintains his board cerBficaBon in Neurological Surgery. He has taught manipulative medicine at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine faculty since its inaugural class in 2017. Dr. Queeney has been performing manipulative medicine for over 35 years.

Dr. Sneed earned his degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. He went on to complete his first residency in Family Medicine in Sandusky, OH and then his second residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in Bangor, ME. Upon completion of the residency programs, Dr. Sneed opened and ran an osteopathic manipulation practice for over seven years. During this time, he has treated patients from newborns to those in their 90s with a wide variety of complaints. He has also helped train students from seven osteopathic schools and currently is an associate professor of osteopathic manipulative medicine at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort, Smith. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, fishing, practicing the martial art of aikido, and woodworking.
